A New Chapter: The Rebrand of Andi Rane Photo | Oregon Coast Photographer
A New Chapter Behind the Lens
Over the past few years, photography has become so much more than just creating beautiful images for me. It has become about creating space for people to slow down, connect, and remember a season of their lives exactly as it felt in that moment.
Most of the couples I photograph aren’t locals. They’re visiting the Oregon Coast to celebrate something meaningful, an engagement, an anniversary, a pregnancy announcement, first family trip, or simply time away together.
Some of the most meaningful moments happen when people step away from their normal routines and land somewhere new. The Oregon Coast has a way of slowing everything down. The wind, the ocean, the quiet spaces between cliffs and forest trails, it creates the perfect environment for honest moments to unfold naturally.
Over time, my work began to shift in response to that.
Less about directing perfect poses.
More about protecting real moments as they happen.
This rebrand is simply a reflection of that evolution.
Why This Rebrand Matters To Me:
When I first started photography, like most photographers, I focused heavily on the images themselves. Lighting, editing, composition, all the technical pieces that go into creating a beautiful photograph. I thought that all it took to get booked was a "pretty" picture. And while creating beautiful images still matters deeply to me.
I realized over time is that the experience leading up to the photo matters just as much as the final gallery itself.
The way a session feels.
The environment it happens in.
The trust between the photographer and the people in front of the camera.
That’s what actually allows people to relax and be present.
As my work evolved, I realized my brand needed to reflect that experience more clearly, calm, intentional, and focused on genuine connection rather than perfectly manufactured moments.
Photographing Couples Visiting the Oregon Coast:
A large part of my work is photographing couples who are traveling to the Oregon Coast to celebrate something deeply special to them.
Many are visiting from out of state.
Some are on anniversary trips or babymoons.
Others are celebrating an engagement or planning a quiet proposal.
Or even a secret Elopement or Micro-wedding.
Because of that, my role goes beyond simply just showing up with a camera.
I help guide the entire experience.
From choosing locations that feel quiet and cinematic, to planning sessions around the best light of the day, to helping couples feel comfortable in front of the camera even if they’ve never had professional photos taken before.
The goal is never to rush through a session.
It’s to create space for the two of you to simply exist together in a beautiful place while I document the moments that naturally unfold.
My Approach to Photographing You:
I didn’t begin this work with a formula, I began it with instinct.
Over time, that instinct grew into something more intentional.
I refined the way I move through a session, the way I guide people without over-directing them, and the way I create an environment where emotions can exist naturally without feeling forced or staged.
Rather than focusing on perfect poses, I focus on creating movement, conversation, and space for genuine interaction.
Some moments are gently guided.
Others happen quietly on their own.
The result is imagery that feels relaxed, honest, and deeply personal.
The Experience I Create for My Couples:
When couples book a session with me, the experience is designed to feel calm and thoughtful from start to finish.
Once your session is booked, I help guide location and timing so we can plan around the best light and environment for your photos.
I also create a custom mood board for each session so we are aligned on the overall feel we want to create together.
From there, I offer guidance on outfits, color palettes, and anything else that helps you feel prepared without overcomplicating the experience.
By the time your session arrives, everything is already thoughtfully planned, allowing the actual time together to feel easy and relaxed.
The Evolution Behind This Rebrand:
This rebrand isn’t just a visual update.
It reflects the way I approach photography today, slower, more intentional, and focused on connection over perfection.
The Oregon Coast has a way of reminding people what matters. My goal is simply to create photographs that preserve those moments exactly as they felt.
Honest.
Unforced.
And deeply personal.

Why Couples Choose to Document This Season
Most seasons of life pass quickly. You look back and think to yourself, "wow that was so long ago."
An engagement before a wedding.
A quiet anniversary trip.
The early days of expecting your first child.
Often those moments feel ordinary while they’re happening, until you look back and realize how meaningful they actually were and how much you miss those moments at certain points in your life.
Photographs have a way of preserving those small, in-between seasons that might otherwise slip by.
That’s why so many couples choose to document their time on the Oregon Coast while they’re here.
